Hey There Again, just a quick word about myself-
I guess I’ve been “Hot-Rodding around” for about 37-years now. I’m not sure exactly when I got the preverbal “Speed Bug? It could have been when I was watching my brothers yanking the 396 from their daily driver to race Saturday night at Speedway 605 or having the front wheels pull off the ground during a grudge race on in my neighbor’s Anglia, whatever it was by age 14 I was neck-deep in model building and street racing (the street racing when my parents weren’t around).
Professionally I turned wrenches for a few “chains” starting with Parnelli Jones and ultimately finishing at a Cadillac Dealership but I was never really at an “independent” for any length of time, I guess the owners were just well, too independent? I owned my own shop too, but quickly learned that was a one-way road to poor health, a potential failed marriage, and not a moment of “free time” to actually enjoy my current Rod.
Speaking of free time, I like to drive, I’ve driven everything from Twin Turbo-Charged Big Block flat bottoms to 120mph dirt bikes, but my true love will always have 4-wheels. I like all cars, imports, domestics, alternate fuel, trucks, Jeeps, you name it, I’ll find something I like about it. I “technically” have actually owned very few cars, because when a registration fee was due on the car I was driving I would buy another car to drive –hence I’ve driven quite a few cars … (a lot of cars).
Nowadays I still drive a variety of cars, but I stay clear of the road racers and wheel standers, but I certainly still dig building them, and although I’m not laying too much fiberglass or lacquer anymore and I’m definitely keeping the heavy R and R to a minimal, I’m still customizing Rods, some in my garage and some in my living room.
Anyway, thanks again for checking out Chip’s Custom Diecast Cars, and if you have any questions or comments please don’t hesitate to call me at (435) 671-8925, and if you want to talk cars, I’m available anytime.
